Quality in Careers ”Award Holders” continue to achieve highest “Compass” scores nationally

News: 10th January 2024

“Independent evidence from the Careers and Enterprise Company confirms that

Quality in Careers ‘Award Holders’ continue to achieve the highest ‘Compass’ scores nationally”

In November 2023, the Careers and Enterprise Company produced a new report on the Benchmark scores (from Compass records) for holders of the Quality in Careers Standard in 2023. We can publish this report today – it’s embedded in this post below.

It confirms that the average number of Gatsby Benchmarks fully achieved by Quality in Careers ‘Award Holders’ in 2023 has increased to 6.1 compared with 5.6 in the analysis of 2022 Award Holders published in March 2023.

The average for all schools and colleges completing Compass was 5.5 in 2023 in the November analysis compared with 4.9 in 2022 in the March report.

These headline figures from the Careers and Enterprise Company’s two reports (published in March and November) were based upon the Quality in Careers Consortium providing details in 2022 of 615 schools and colleges in England holding the Quality in Careers Standard and 745 in 2023 (of which the CEC was able to match Compass data for 660 schools and colleges in England).

Dr Barrie Hopson, Chairman of the Quality in Careers Consortium Board, published the CEC’s November 2023 analysis here today.
